Volunteering with LVVP
There are many different reasons why people from all over the world go abroad and volunteer their time. Many people want to travel around the world and to discover new life experiences and cultures. Others want to volunteer their time and resources to help the less privileged. With LVVP you will achieve all that you have always wanted to get from a volunteer experience, meet indigenous people, live with them, enjoy the real African and Zambian Wildlife experience, meet and interact with school children, save lives in health centres, visit the World renowned Victoria Falls World Heritage Site. Our volunteer program lies in the heart of the Caprivi or the four corners where 4 countries meet. After volunteering with us you will have time to visit anyone of these countries at a stone s’ throw.
Volunteers who come to VVP Zambia get involved in the local people‘s way of life, culture and traditions. This includes African beliefs, food and traditional way of living in both the urban rural areas.
Through your voluntary work you will become aware of the broader socio economic and political situation in our country. We are in Africa and we love it. The situation about our country is not as bad as what you read in the media. The experience is just different. Through volunteering with LVVP you will get an in-depth understanding of how communities deal with environmental management and wildlife conservation, agriculture, health and HIV/AIDS, education and sport development.
